PERFECT 10 FOR A PERFECT LUNCH

And so the 10 of us were gathered at the Straits Chinese Restaurant for what LL  billed as the Perfect 10 Lunch. The 10 comprised, going around the table from my right:  LNJ,  LT, AO2, AO1 @ Phenyu, OL, LL, SL, AGL, PT and yours truly, the oldest and most vertically challenged of the lot. Being the oldest member has its benefits. LT pushed 3 angpows  into my hands. "For  the kids" she muttered, before  insisting that I must not "reciprocate." Second or third year running - the stern  insistence on "non-reciprocity" from LT. I put up a token resistance only. Never says "NO" to LT.  Lest it cost you an arm and a leg - literally! And AO1@Phenyu  also pushed an angpow into my hand. But this one was not for the kids, its for me! Thank you! These angpows will bring  all ten of us  the much needed good luck  for Friday the 14th!

I won't consider this as a Perfect Lunch. Suffice to consider as  a "Near Perfect Lunch" for now. It will be Perfect 10 at 10 pm on Friday, February 14 - courtesy of Singapore Pools. For each of us contributed $12 + one number (between 1 and 45 although one amongst the 10 of us still insisted on "87"!) 3 of the 10 present are "EX"; the other 7 are "current". The ties that bind continue to bind.

I had set the "dress code" for the guys. No, not dress code, more like "underwear code", Apart from the 3-EXs, the only other guy was 'OL".  So the four of us guys were required to wear "red" underwear. Auspicious red that will give us a good shot at the $10m TOTO draw. I was to be the inspector but wanted to delegate the inspections to LT who protested "Choi! Choi! Choi!" So I had to do it myself. "Choi! Choi! Choi!" Three of the 4 guys, including myself, passed the inspection without any problem.  The fourth guy - LNJ - passed with flying colors! RED color that is. I wanted to take a photo of him in his underwear to show as evidence but I realized that what he was wearing could not be described as underwear. "Panties" would be more like it! So he took it off with his velvet glove of the same color  and allowed me to take a picture for this posting! And when we go to Singapore Pools to claim our winnings, he will bring along this lucky charm!

Friday the 14th February 2014 happens to be Valentine Day. It also happens to be the 15th day of the Lunar New Year - Yuan Xiao (I think). It also happens to be LNJ's birthday! And finally, it is going to be the PERFECT DAY FOR THE PERFECT 10!
